AFT 80/160 is not only a high performance E1/T1/J1 communication
controller , but also delivers "Best in class" data collecting function.
Based on the Freescale® High Performance Communication Processor,
MPC8280, AFT 80/160 supports multiple protocols including ATM, FR,
PPP, HDLC, Transparent and IMA. Furthermore, the AFT 80/160 particularly
strengthens the data collecting function for SS7, supporting Nx8K, 64K, Nx64K and
high speed E1/T1/J1 links. It can simultaneously collects up to 4 high speed duplex E1/T1/J1 or
128 duplex 64K SS7 links. In data collection mode, the AFT 80/160 performs data link layer
statistical analysis and filtering, adding time stamps. The collected data is send through PCI bus
to the host machine or through the on-board 10/100Mbase-T Ethernet port to another machine
for further processing.
